I actually started in the business in 1981 and when I think about how much this industry has changed, that thought is simply amazing!
In 1985, I had the opportunity to purchase my travel agency in Kansas City. It has been the greatest experience to build a business that has a flawless reputation, it today's world, that is TOUGH!
I did learn quickly that the best reward in this business is making sure your clients travels go smoothly and then they rave to their friends and your reputation grows!
I have been very fortunate to travel to many places such as Australia, Europe, Mexico and extensively in the Caribbean. I love all the places I have been but always want to see more.
When I started in the travel business, I especially loved cruising, that allows you see a lot of places and only unpack once. Every island in the Caribbean has something to offer, but then again, everywhere you travel has a story to tell!
Next year, I will celebrate owning my business for 30 years....WOW!
After all these years, I still love my job and don't dread working any single day! I love my clients and my staff. Life is good!!
